The proposal to establish the Qeshm Higher Education Institute was presented by the Qeshm Free Zone Organization in the late 1990s to create a platform for the development of educational facilities on Qeshm Island. After thorough reviews and follow-ups, its charter was ultimately approved by the Higher Education Expansion Council on July 2, 2000. Given the shortage of specialized academic personnel on Qeshm Island, the administrative and educational staff of this institute initially operated from Tehran and began their activities. After four years, the institute took steps to recruit personnel and expand its activities to Qeshm Island.

Major Responsibilities

* Management and execution of matters related to media and external communications of the university

* Management and execution of tasks related to preparing reports from meetings and scientific sessions, conferences, and important workshops at the university for the purpose of informing the audience

* Development of internal and external communications

* Development and organization of the information dissemination and retrieval system

* Promotion of the university to the target community
